Shadow Custodians: The Unseen Pillars.
The emotion and expressions on the faces of people carry a lot of meaning. Bringing out my model’s unique characteristics is fundamental to my project. I photographed support staff in the art industry, such as receptionists, cleaners, drivers, security personnel, and maintenance staff. I particularly like the idea of silhouettes and shaping light. I aimed to highlight and create portraiture of people who are often “invisible” in the art industry and their essential roles in keeping everything organized. As a result, strong shadows effectively conveyed this aspect of “invisibility.”
